Today is the last day of the Christmas market.
It is a really cosy market inside an old shed of the SBB (Swiss rail)
directly next to the station Herrliberg-Feldmeilen.
If you still need some Christmas presents come by. It is open from 2pm to 7pm.
But there is even more to the story...
This is a very small and exclusive Christmas Market - more like an artisans' market.
And everyone participating will donate 10% of whatever they earn to a good cause.
I have of course chosen to support Kuluka.
So every gift you buy will bring double the joy :-)
I hope to see you there!
I recently got married and we spend our honeymoon in Malawi - the home country of my husband - and Zanzibar. It was beautiful!
As you can see I also got loads of new cloths :-)
Wow, the summer has gone in a flash!
I was so busy, I didn't have any time for sewing...
But now as the days are shorter and the warmth of your home is so much more inviting than the bone-chilling cold outside, I thought of coming back to Amagier :-)
Are you celebrating the Advent season? I like the tradition of the Advent wreath! Homemade of course...
Happy 1st of Advent and have a wonderful time with the Christmas preparations!
It was our first winter in Switzerland and it was a beautiful one! We did skiing and snowboarding, enjoyed the snow covered Alps and built snowmen...
After a day out in the cold there is nothing better to come home to than an original Swiss Cheese Fondue. Delicious!!!
If you need a recipe you can find a real Swiss one here (it is in German, long live Google translate...:-)).
I have received some wonderful photos from people who have used Amagier to bring a splash of colour to their lifes. I am glad they enjoy it :-)
While we were in London I couldn't resist going to my favourite African textiles shop.
Have a look at their website. They have an impressive collection!
Needless to say that I stocked up on more fabric to continue making beautiful things this year.
Keep checking my website. I will add them as I sew along... :-)
I hope you had a nice Christmas and a great party to celebrate the beginning of 2015!
